The Harris Foundation offers two gift matching programs to Harris employees to support their contributions of cash or known-value securities to qualified educational institutions and approved community organizations. These programs allow employees to multiply their contributions, providing organizations with additional funding.
Harris Aid-to-Education Gift Matching Program
The Aid-to-Education Gift Matching Program was established to broaden financial support of educational institutions and particularly encourage employees to contribute to the colleges and universities in which they or their families have an interest, and which they feel are worthy of support. Accredited higher education institutions that grant degrees and two-year colleges whose credits are transferable to four-year degree-granting institutions are eligible. All such institutions must be eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions. Contributions up to a maximum amount of $10,000 per individual, per fiscal year will be matched by the Harris Foundation.
Harris Community Gift Matching Program
The Community Gift Matching Program was established to encourage good citizenship on the part of Harris employees through support of charitable, cultural and civic programs that benefit their local communities. All organizations must be non-profit, 501(c)(3) institutions eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions or international charities with equivalent certification and have been approved by the Harris Foundation's Board of Trustees as eligible.
